Kickstart Your Technical Career at ICT Group
At ICT Group, we will train you to become a fully qualified control engineer (PLC/SCADA). You will work on challenging projects in the industry and/or infrastructure sector, while simultaneously following an extensive training program. You will receive personal guidance from experienced professionals and build a valuable network within our organization.
We offer our trainee positions at our offices in Breda, Bergen op Zoom, and Barendrecht. Your location depends on the unit you will be working in.
The Traineeship
Our traineeship is built on three pillars:
- Personal development (soft skills)
- Technical development (hard skills)
- Learning on the job (practical experience)
The First Quarter
In the first quarter, you'll go through an intensive program:
- Onboarding at ICT Group
- Basic training in PLC/SCADA programming
- VCA-VOL certification
- Training in communication and collaboration
- Customer visits
- Joint project with all trainees covering all aspects of control engineering
- Team building activities
At the end of the first quarter, we'll create a personal development plan together, which we'll evaluate and adjust monthly
After three months
After three months, you will start working in one of our business units, where you will continue learning in practice under the guidance of a personal buddy. Additionally, you will follow:
- Advanced training in PLC/SCADA programming
- Soft skills training (giving/receiving feedback, presenting)
- Training in project management and security
- Intervision sessions with your fellow trainees
- Certification tracks
Year 2
In the second year, you will focus more on domain-specific training that aligns with your personal development plan and the business unit where you work. You will continue to meet regularly with your fellow trainees for intervision, training, and social activities.
Who Are We Looking For?
Ambitious, technical professionals with a (recently) completed HBO or WO degree in a technical field who have a strong affinity with the OT domain. In the first year, we require full-time availability (40 hours), and after the first year, it's possible to work 32 or 36 hours. You need to be available from September 1, 2025, because that's when we all start!
