As a Business Analyst Network & Security, you act as the vital link between the business, IT, and security domains. You gather, analyze, and translate business and technical needs into clear requirements, ensuring that solutions comply with network and security standards. You work closely with stakeholders, Product Owners, development teams, and security specialists within an Agile/Scrum environment.Using tools such as JIRA and Confluence, you manage backlogs, maintain documentation, and facilitate knowledge sharing. With your strong analytical skills, you contribute to the delivery of secure, future-proof, and effective IT solutions that support the organization's business objectives.

Requirements Gathering and Analysis
- Gather, document, and validate business and technical requirements.
- Translate stakeholder needs into clear functional and non-functional requirements.
- Ensure that requirements align with network and security architecture standards.
Network & Security Focus
- Understanding of networking concepts such as LAN/WAN, VPNs, firewalls, and routing.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity principles, including access management, encryption, and compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001 and NIST.
- Collaborate with security teams to ensure requirements comply with applicable regulations and internal security policies.
Agile & Scrum
- Participate in Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, and Retrospectives.
- Work closely with Product Owners and development teams to refine and elaborate backlog items.
- Ensure requirements are sufficiently detailed to support iterative delivery.
Tooling
JIRA
- Create and manage Epics, User Stories, and Tasks.
- Maintain and prioritize the backlog.
- Generate reports and provide progress insights.
Confluence
- Document requirements, processes, workflows, and knowledge articles.
- Use JIRA and Confluence effectively to support traceability, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.
Stakeholder Management & Communication
- Act as the liaison between business, IT, and security teams.
- Clearly present findings, analyses, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Facilitate effective communication and alignment across all involved parties.
Hier herken je jezelf in
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree level of thinking and working, preferably in Computer Science, Business Administration, Cyber Security, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst within an IT, network, and/or security environment.
- Strong analytical skills and a structured approach to identifying and solving complex issues.
- Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols, such as LAN/WAN, VPNs, routing, and firewalls.
- Knowledge of information security standards, risk assessments, and compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001 and NIST.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and the Scrum framework.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively bridge the gap between business and technical stakeholders.
- Experience in eliciting, managing, and documenting functional and technical requirements.
- Strong documentation skills and hands-on experience with tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications / Certifications
- CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or CCBA (Certification of Capability in Business Analysis) certification.
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or a comparable cybersecurity certification.
- Scrum Master or Product Owner certification.
- Experience in network infrastructure, cybersecurity, or compliance-related projects is considered a strong advantage.
